What is it?
Restaurant digital signage (or digital menu boards) is software that plays designed slides on TVs. Peppar signage is data-driven: each slide is a design document with bindings to menu items, categories, coupons, and promotions. HTML is a render of that document, not a static Photoshop export that goes stale.

How it works
- Open Digital Signage in the staff console and tap Open Studio
- Start from a TV template or describe a look — bind live dishes, coupons, and promotions
- Publish the slide, add it to a playlist, and optionally schedule lunch vs dinner
- Generate a pairing code and enter it on the TV player (browser kiosk or Android box)
- Assign the playlist — the screen plays published content and refreshes when the menu changes

What is Peppar digital signage?

Do I need special TV hardware?
No. Pair any HDMI TV with a cheap Android box or Fire TV, or open the player in a browser kiosk. There is no Peppar-branded player SKU required.
Do menu prices update on the TV automatically?
Yes, for bound items. When staff change a price, toggle stock, or edit a coupon or promotion that a slide uses, Peppar rebuilds that screen’s content pack and pushes an update.
Can I use AI to design slides?
Yes. Signage Studio can generate or revise a layout from a prompt. Output is structured design JSON validated by Peppar — TVs never execute arbitrary scripts.
Which Peppar plan includes digital signage?
Smart Signage is a Pro feature (also Professional / Enterprise). It is not included on Starter and is off during the default trial unless enabled for your account.
Is this the same as kitchen display (KDS)?
No. KDS is for chefs to bump tickets. Digital signage is guest-facing menu boards, offers, and brand content on lobby and counter TVs.
